About Donna

Donna Walsh is a Pennsylvania licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. She is nationally certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association and holds a teaching certificate from the Pennsylvania Department of Education. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication Disorders from Bloomsburg University and graduated with a Master of Science Degree in Communication Disorders from Penn State University.

For the past 29 years, Donna has worked collaboratively with therapists, teachers, and family members improving the speech and language skills of children, adolescents, and young adults. She has worked in a variety of settings including, public and private schools, hospitals, and the homes of students. Donna’s passion lies in her private practice that she established 26 years ago. In this setting, she works closely with families to help individuals reach their highest potential in their language, academic, and social development. She is eager to bring this same passion to the collaborative team at the Sensory Zone.

Donna continues her education and training and remains current in speech therapy treatment techniques. She has trained extensively in the treatment of autism, ADHD, childhood apraxia of speech, social and pragmatic skills, executive functioning, language based reading disorders, and auditory processing. She has presented and trained therapists and educators on developing language skills in children.

When not working, Donna loves to spend time with her husband, two daughters, and little dog, Lola. She loves the outdoors and enjoys gardening, hiking, biking, and boating.
