About Mary

Mary Walsh is a Pennsylvania licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. She is nationally certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association and holds a teaching certificate from the Pennsylvania Department of Education. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Penn State University and graduated with a Master of Arts Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Montclair State University. Mary has spent the majority of her career in the public school system, both in Colorado and Pennsylvania, where she worked collaboratively with a variety of therapists, teachers, and family members. She has worked with both children and adolescents with a variety of diagnoses during her time in the schools. Mary’s passion lies in using technology to help children communicate with augmentative and alternative communication systems when an innovative therapy approach is needed. She is excited to work on communication skills in a motivating and play based setting like Sensory Zone where progress with speech and language goals often just feels like fun for the students. When not working, Mary can be found outside rock climbing, snowboarding, hiking, and boating.
